Using Remote Desktop Mobile, you can log on to a remote computer running Terminal Services or Remote Desktop and use all the programs available on that computer from your mobile device. For example, instead of running Word Mobile, you can run the desktop computer version of Word and access all the .doc files on that computer from your device.
Navigate within Remote Desktop Mobile
Before you try to connect to a remote computer, ensure that you have a functioning connection. For more information, see Connect to the Internet or Connect to Work.
To connect to a computer you have previously connected to, tap the down arrow, then tap the computer name.
Note
If the computer is set up on a custom port, specify the computer name and the custom port like this: remotecomputer:portnumber. You may need to get the port number from your system administrator.
Tip
When using programs that have been specifically sized for use with a mobile device, you can tap Options, then select Fit remote desktop to screen to fit the program better on the device screen.

The Shut Down Windows dialog box appears.

To disconnect quickly, tap Disconnect.
You can improve performance with Internet Explorer on the remote computer by decreasing the time it takes for Web pages to be refreshed.
You can improve display performance for Remote Desktop Mobile by decreasing the time it takes for the screen to be refreshed on the remote computer.
The contents of the window on the PC may be too wide to fit the screen of your mobile device. You can view any portion of the screen by dragging the thumbnail window to that portion.
