Work with numbers stored in Calculator memory

  1. Tap Start > Programs > Calculator.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To store a number, tap the box to the left of the entry box.

      An M will appear in the box.

    • To add the displayed number to the number already stored in memory, tap M+.
    • To display the number stored in memory, tap MR.
    • To clear the memory, tap MC.

Note

When you store a number in memory, it replaces the one that is currently stored.

Use Calculator

You can use Calculator to perform basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  1. Tap Start > Programs > Calculator.
  2. Use the Calculator buttons or Input Panel to enter numbers and perform calculations.
    To Tap
    Clear the current calculation or the displayed number C
    Clear the last digit entered in a multidigit entry The Back arrow to the right of the entry box
    Clear memory MC
    Calculate the reciprocal of a number 1/X
    Perform operations with percentages %
    Calculate the square root of a number The square root symbol ()
    Change a number from positive to negative and back +/-
