About O2 Plus
Welcome to O2 Plus
O2 Plus is a multi-purpose application that functions as a program launcher, a task manager and it comes with 7 Today plug-ins that provide the user a wealth of information on the Today screen about operator name, battery, memory, running applications, alarms, sound profile, call divert status, tasks and appointments. The task manager is an application that shows the programs that are running as icons so you can quickly select and close them.
What are the benefits
O2 Plus helps you gain greater control over all running applications on your O2 device. It gives you easy access to important program and information, including operator name, battery, memory, application, alarm, sound profile, call divert, tasks and appointment statuses.
Opening O2 Plus
This application manager displays all running programs as icons in a pop-up window so you can quickly select or close them.
To open the application manager, simply
- press and hold the launcher key at the top right corner of the Title bar. The application manager window will pop up displaying these items:
- Today
- Connect
- Programs
- Shortcuts
- Icons of running applications
- Options
- Screen orientation buttons
- use the stylus or the up/down navigation keys to highlight the item you want and select it by pressing Action.
- tap the application icon to activate it or the Close icon to close it. If you press the left directional key, the application running behind the application manager window will act as if you have tapped ok/close button.
Today Items
O2 Plus displays 7 customized items on the Today screen for your frequently used applications and frequently viewed information, namely:
- Network operator
- Displays the name of your current network operator. You can create up to 8 call divert profiles and change them by tapping on this icon.
- Displays the current date and time, which can be changed when tapped.
- Displays the alarm status.
- Last call
- Displays the caller name or number of your last phone call.
- Lets you return the call when tapped.
- Profile
- Displays the current sound profile, which can be changed when tapped. You can create up to 8 sound profiles.
- Meters
- Displays the amount of battery power remaining, and the amount of memory space left in the main storage, storage and storage card.
- Calendar
- Displays all your appointments within the next 10 days. You can control the number of display lines in the option settings.
- Shortcuts
- Displays the shortcuts to various applications; these shortcuts can be added or removed from here.
- You can create a new tab for grouping applications by tapping this item and holding. For example, you can create a games tab and assign shortcuts to all your games under it.
- Running applications
- Displays all running applications.
- You can bring an application to the foreground by tapping on the assigned icon.
O2 Plus configuration
You can customize most of the features and items in your Application Manager and O2 Today screen. Simply follow these steps to pull up the configuration panel:
- Tap Start > Programs > O2 Plus Settings; or
- Press and hold the O2 Plus icon at the top or tap O2 Plus Settings in Program menu and select Options.
Your O2 Plus settings are divided into the following tabs in this configuration panel:
- Options - Lets you configure O2 Plus application manager icon to appear in the Title bar, and set battery indicator bar.
- Item - Lets you control shortcuts to appear in application manager.
- Today - Lets you turn the Today items on and off.
- Meters - Lets you turn meter indicators on and off.
- Shortcuts - Lets you add and remove application shortcuts.
- Calendar - Lets you configure calendar display options.
Uninstall O2 Plus
If for any reasons you want to uninstall the O2 Plus program, follow these procedures.
- Soft reset your device.
- Tap Start > Settings > System > Memory > Remove programs, select O2 Plus, tap Remove
