A single text message can be up to 160 characters. If you compose a text message that is longer than 160 characters, it will be sent automatically as two or more text messages.
If you want to respond to a rich text message using plain HTML, tap Edit sender’s message when replying to the message. This converts the message from rich text to HTML and removes the sender’s backgrounds, color, and font choices and any emoticons inserted into the message.

In Outlook Mobile, voice mail messages are included in your list of e-mail messages.
Note
Even when your phone’s ringer is set to silent or vibrate and you replay the audio version of a voice mail message, the message will still be audible. Your phone ringer will return to silent or vibrate when playback of the voice mail message is complete.

A convenient way to view and manage text messages (SMS) is to track them by conversation. By default, SMS are sorted by conversation or subject. You can also sort by message type, From, and Received.

Note
Moving a conversation or SMS within a conversation from the Inbox to another folder or subfolder does not keep the messages grouped by conversation. However, moving these messages back to the Inbox regroups them by conversation.

You can now use ActiveSync to sync your SMS to your Exchange 2010 e-mail account. That way, you can track the messages you’ve sent and received. You can also recover your SMS if you reset, replace, or lose your phone.
Before you can synchronize SMS, you must have at least one e-mail account set up on your phone that uses Exchange 2010. See Sync your data with an Exchange Server.
Once you’ve set up the e-mail account, you can synchronize your SMS the same way you synchronize all of your other information with ActiveSync. For more information about setting up ActiveSync and syncing your data with Windows XP, or setting up Windows Mobile Device Center and syncing your data with Windows Vista, vist our our website, www.windowsmobile.com.

Note
If you choose a contact, make sure you send the SMS to the phone number, not the e-mail address.
