Adobe Reader LE Version 2.0 Help

Adobe Reader LE is an application for viewing Portable Document Format (PDF) documents on small screen devices. It is designed specifically for use on mobile devices, and it supports a subset of the features found in the PC versions of Adobe Reader.

Adobe Reader LE provides a rich set of features to maximize your PDF document viewing experience.

The right softkey (Menu) includes general document services such as opening another PDF document, details about the currently opened document, and information about the Adobe Reader LE application.

The left softkey (Tools) provides additional features for viewing, navigating, and searching the currently opened PDF document.

Adobe Reader LE provides several options for navigating within a PDF document.

• You can use the navigation keys (up/down and left/right) of the device to move in the desired direction.
• You can use the vertical and horizontal scroll bars to move in the desired direction.
• You can use the Go To menu, available under the left softkey, to display another page. This menu provides several options to let you choose the desired page.

Adobe Reader LE provides several ways to change the viewing size of the current document. These are available under the Zoom menu in the left softkey.

• In and Out make the display a little larger or smaller.
• To % lets you specify a zoom level using a slider.
• Fit Screen makes one entire page fit in the window.
• Fit Width makes the width of one page fit in the width of the window.

Adobe Reader LE lets you rotate the view clockwise or counter-clockwise in 90 degree increments. It also supports two page layout views.

• Single Page displays one page at a time in the document pane.
• Continuous arranges the pages in a continuous vertical column.

The Find function lets you search for text within the PDF document. To search for text, select Find > Text from the Tools menu (left softkey), type in the text to be searched, and click on the Find button.

Adobe Reader LE provides a dedicated toolbar for easy access to the most commonly used functions.

Adobe Reader LE also provides the following advanced features.

• Bookmarks: You can view and navigate through bookmarks contained in the PDF document. To open the bookmark pane, click on at the top of the window, just below the task bar. If a bookmark has any child bookmarks, its icon will have a small '+' in it. Double clicking a bookmark with children display its children if they are not currently displayed. To close the bookmark pane click on . If the PDF file does not contain bookmarks the bookmark pane will not display.
• Password protection: Adobe Reader LE supports password protected documents with up to 128 bit encryption. If a PDF file is protected with a password you will be prompted for the password when opening the document.
