Creating and Editing A Message

To create a new MMS message:

  1. Tap "MMS" from "New," then a blank message will appear. If you are instead directed to a screen where a list of pre-defined templates is displayed, then choose one from the list.
  2. To add a photo or a video clip to your message, do one of the followings:
    1. Tap where it says to select your photo or video.
    2. The next screen will list all available files, tap on the one you want to add to your message.
    3. Tap on the Camera or DV icon to capture photos or record videos to include in your MMS message.
  3. Tap anywhere in the text box and you will see the screen for you to add or edit text messages. To add or edit your text messages, follow the steps below:
    1. Input your message in the text box.
    2. Include an emoticon, a favorite link, or a contact in your message.
    3. You may also tap on the voice bubble icon to add a previously saved canned text message (words or phrases) to your message. If you want to create a new canned text message, tap and hold on the "My Text" screen and choose "New."
    4. You can also select a text size, color, or background from "Menu."
  4. To add an audio clip to your message, tap where it says to select an audio clip to add to your message and do one of the followings:
    1. Tap on the audio clip you want to add to your message. Audio clips cannot be added to the slide if it only contains video.
    2. You may also record new audio clips for your MMS message. To do so, tap on the record button.
  5. Tap "Attachment..." from "Menu" to add a vCard, vCalendar, or file to your message.
  6. To personalize your message, tap "Options" from "Menu." Two options are available:
    1. Background: Choose a background color from the color list for your message.
    2. Text Layout: There are four types of text layout: "Text above," "Text below," "Text left," and "Text right." You can choose a suitable layout that best matches your screen orientation.
  7. Multiple slides can be incorporated into your message. To edit or rearrange slide content, follow these steps below:
    1. To change slide content: Tap on any component (photo/video, text, audio clip) and select a new one.
    2. To add an additional slide to the message: Tap on "Slides" from Menu and choose "Insert Slide."
    3. To remove a slide from the message: Tap on "Slides" from Menu and choose "Delete Slide."
    4. To change the order of the slides: Tap on "Slides" from Menu and choose "Organize Slides." Tap and drag a slide to change its order.
  8. Tap "Templates" from "Menu" to choose a different template or save your current one as a new template.

To view the MMS message you just created:

  1. When a new MMS message is created, you can tap on the Playback button (located in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen) to view it. On the Playback screen, you will find some standard control buttons for playing back your messages; these include Play, Stop, and Full Screen.
  2. To view content included in your message:
    1. Tap "Contents" located in the bottom left -hand corner of the screen, you will then be directed to a screen which displays your message contents.
    2. Select the one you want, the content will play automatically.
    3. To view detailed information about your message contents, tap "Properties."
  3. Tap "Show" from "Menu" to view additional information about your MMS message:
    1. Choose "Attachment" to view the file attached in your message.
    2. Choose "Message Detail" to view specific information about your MMS message, including Subject, Category, Duration, etc.
    3. Choose "Contact Details" to view your recipient's phone number. You can also extract contact information and save it to your device.

Sending a Message

To send your message, tap on the "Send" button located in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

You may send messages to mobile phones, email addresses, or both. The message will appear in the Outbox while it's being sent. After the message has been sent successfully, a copy of the message will be saved to the Sent folder. If there is a problem sending the message, the message will remain in the Outbox.


Settings

Tap "Options" from "Menu" and choose "Message Options," you will then see the Settings screen. Below is a list of options you will find on the Settings screen:

• Preferences: Lists all available message settings.

• Servers: Displays a list of available servers.

• Blacklist: Displays a blocked contact list.

• About: View program information.
